The views around here are stunning; there is no denying that. I'm constantly in awe over how breathtaking cliff-top views can be, and Black Head is no exception. It's an easy place to get to and one that is perfect for taking beautiful landscape photos. Black Head has an interesting history behind it. It's a headland at the western end of St Austell, and from what I have read, it's the site of an Iron Age promontory fort and also has remains of a rifle range from the 1800s. There is also a memorial stone for the author A.L.Rowse, who lived nearby. He wrote a lot about history.
